Cambodia Investment Review
UN Women Cambodia has launched a nationwide survey aimed at mapping the current landscape of inclusive procurement in the Kingdom, with a particular focus on Women-Owned Businesses (WOBs) operating as micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). The study will gather evidence to inform policy and program recommendations that strengthen women entrepreneurs’ participation in both public and private procurement systems.
Strengthening Inclusive Procurement
The 20-minute survey, available in both English and Khmer, seeks input from businesses that are majority-owned and operated by women, regardless of size, sector, or registration status. Procurement — the process of purchasing goods and services by businesses or government entities — often involves multiple stages such as selecting suppliers, obtaining quotes, and finalizing contracts.
By capturing the experiences and perspectives of WOBs, UN Women aims to identify existing challenges and opportunities within Cambodia’s procurement systems. The findings will guide strategies to make these systems more inclusive and accessible, ensuring women-led enterprises can compete effectively for contracts and supply opportunities.
Open Call for Participation
The survey is open until 30 August 2025, and participation is both voluntary and confidential. UN Women assures that all responses will be anonymized, with no individual or company identified in the final report.
Eligible businesses are encouraged to share their insights by completing the survey through the following link: https://forms.office.com/r/FYtaUyYium.
For those requiring assistance in filling out the survey, support is available via telephone or video call.
