The 6th Red Hornet Chairman’s Cup brought together more than 115 golfers from over 20 countries at Chhun On Golf Resort, reinforcing its position as one of Cambodia’s most internationally engaged charity sporting events. Senior Ministers Cham Prasidh and Ly Thuch joined ambassadors from Indonesia, Brunei Darussalam, Myanmar, Laos, Pakistan, and senior officials from Cambodia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, highlighting the tournament’s growing diplomatic significance.
In his opening remarks at the Champions Dinner, Dalton Wong emphasised the broader purpose behind the gathering, noting that the event “celebrates not only sport, but friendship, solidarity, and meaningful purpose.” He added that the diverse turnout reflected “a community united by generosity and the belief that we can create lasting impact through collective effort.”
Growing Diplomatic Engagement
This year’s Cup also served as a meaningful farewell for Indonesia’s Ambassador Santo Darmosumarto. Dalton recognised the Ambassador’s contributions, noting that his leadership “made a profound difference” and strengthened bilateral ties during his tenure in Phnom Penh. The presence of multiple regional ambassadors reinforced the event’s reputation as a platform for diplomatic engagement and international collaboration.
A moment of silence was observed for families affected by recent border-area conflict, marking one of the event’s more solemn moments and reflecting its broader social awareness.

Philanthropy and Social Impact
The tournament raised over US$15,000, directed toward two key causes. A major share will support upgrades at the Indonesia–Cambodia Friendship School, reinforcing an educational partnership that spans generations.
