April was a month of celebration and momentum across OCIC. From our Khmer New Year gatherings to the first anniversary of the Green Oasis initiative—marked by a special tree planting at the future park in Koh Pich City—our team came together in the spirit of renewal and community. We also marked new partnerships and project milestones, all contributing to our continued commitment to sustainability and urban transformation.
Here’s a look back at a meaningful month for OCIC.
Welcoming the New Year, Together
To mark the arrival of Khmer New Year, the OCIC team came together in a celebration rooted in culture, connection, and community. More than just a tradition, it was a moment to pause and appreciate the people who make our shared journey possible—from colleagues and teams to friends across our offices.
Through music, laughter, and shared customs, we honored the values that keep us grounded and connected. It was a time to strengthen bonds, reflect on the past year, and welcome the new one with optimism and unity. Because at OCIC, we believe that true happiness is found in being together—and in celebrating what brings us closer.
Official Launch of Morodok Techo Interchange
On April 7, 2025, the Morodok Techo Interchange was officially inaugurated under the high patronage of Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia. This major public infrastructure—developed by OCIC—marks a critical step forward in enhancing urban mobility and regional connectivity.
Strategically located in the northern corridor of Phnom Penh, the interchange links key destinations such as Techo International Airport, and central Phnom Penh. It is designed to ease traffic congestion, reduce travel times, and support the rapid urban expansion of the capital.
The project reflects OCIC’s continued commitment to shaping accessible, future-ready infrastructure that not only connects roads but also strengthens the economic and social fabric of Cambodia.
Celebrate a Year of Creating More Green Spaces
Plant Today, Enjoy Tomorrow, Leave a Legacy
This April, OCIC marked the first anniversary of Green Oasis—our long-term initiative dedicated to bringing more green into urban spaces—with a meaningful tree-planting event at the future community park near Koh Pich City Hall.
What began as a vision to create pockets of nature across OCIC developments has grown into a movement embraced by staff, partners, and the wider community. Over the past year, more than 15,000 trees have been planted across Phnom Penh’s evolving landscape—creating not only greener environments, but also moments of connection and shared purpose.
To celebrate this milestone, OCIC team members, volunteers, and partners came together to plant the first trees at the new park—a space designed for relaxation, recreation, and community gathering. It was a celebration of growth, sustainability, and our shared responsibility to invest in a more livable city.
Green Oasis is just getting started—and we’re grateful to everyone helping us make it flourish.

On April 26, 2025, Sovannaphum Life Assurance carried out a corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative at Phheas Primary School in Ek Phnom District, Battambang Province. The outreach provided 1 million riels in funding, two desktop computers, two large umbrellas, and essential school supplies to 195 students and 10 teachers—contributing to improved learning conditions and recognizing outstanding academic efforts.
This initiative reflects Sovannaphum Life’s ongoing commitment to education and community development, particularly in under-resourced areas.
