Legend Cinema and Shanty Town Spirit solidified their collaboration with a partnership signing ceremony held at Legend Cinema, Olympia, on the 6th floor. The event was graced by HRH Prince Narithpong Norodom and Princess Ermine Norodom, founders of the Shanty Town Spirit organization, and Ms. Chan Sombath, Human Resources Director at Legend Cinema, along with other distinguished guests.
Legend Cinema, a leading cinema in Cambodia, aims to use this partnership to share both its passion for cinema and the latest film technology with the public. As part of this collaboration, Legend Cinema will offer free film screenings for children and underprivileged families associated with Shanty Town Spirit, alongside various educational initiatives targeting younger audiences. These activities are part of Legend Cinema’s ongoing efforts to give back to the community, reflecting its commitment to social responsibility.
Legend Cinema’s 13th Anniversary Celebration
In celebration of Legend Cinema’s 13th anniversary, donation boxes for Shanty Town Spirit will be placed at all 12 Legend Cinema locations—10 in Phnom Penh and 2 in Siem Reap and Sihanoukville. The funds raised will support Shanty Town Spirit’s initiatives. Donations can be made at any Legend Cinema location.

Furthermore, the c Fundraising event, organized by Legend Cinema, aims to raise awareness and gather financial support for the organization. The event will include film screenings, with snacks and beverages provided by Legend Cinema. All proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to Shanty Town Spirit, supporting families and children in need by providing educational opportunities, study materials, medical care, and improved living conditions.
Ms. Chan Sombath emphasized Legend Cinema’s dedication to societal contributions, stating, “Legend Cinema is not just a cinema company; we are a company that actively contributes to society, supporting various charitable activities for children and underprivileged families.”
Legend Cinema is also a member of the Rose Club, sponsored by Shanty Town Spirit, with around 100 members, including Legend Cinema, which holds a Rose Gold membership. The cinema provides coupons for all members to enjoy 2D, 3D, Gold Class, or Diamond Class movies.
Another special event planned for the end of 2024 is a free movie screening for children during the Christmas holiday. This event will include a joyful movie experience, delicious popcorn, and a variety of snacks and beverages.
