Cambodia Investment Review
WorldBridge Group and International SOS Group have entered into a strategic partnership aimed at strengthening access to global-standard health and security services in Cambodia, marking a notable expansion of international medical assistance capabilities in the country.
Effective December 1, Neak Oknha Rithy Sear, founder and chairman of WorldBridge Group, has become a shareholder in International SOS Assistance (Cambodia) Ltd., joining International SOS Group as co-owner. The move brings together International SOS’s long-established global expertise with WorldBridge’s extensive local market presence.
Expanding Global-Standard Health and Security Services
International SOS, founded in 1985, is widely regarded as the world’s leading health and security risk services provider. The company operates in 90 countries with 89 offices and 28 assistance centers, supporting more than 9,000 corporate and institutional clients, including most of the Fortune Global 100.
Its multilingual medical and security teams handle over 8,000 calls per day and maintain a network of 89,000 providers worldwide—from hospitals and ambulances to aviation medical partners and security specialists. International SOS conducts more than 1,700 medical evacuations annually and manages millions of assistance cases related to public health emergencies, natural disasters, and geopolitical disruptions. The firm’s operational model combines global reach with tailored, on-the-ground support through more than 4,400 medical professionals and 1,000 security experts.
Strengthening Local Capacity Through WorldBridge Group
WorldBridge Group, founded in 1992 by Rithy Sear, is one of Cambodia’s most diversified conglomerates, spanning logistics, property development, food and beverage, technology, security, banking, financial services, media, hospitality, and construction.
The company is widely recognized for its contributions to Cambodia’s logistics sector and for its collaborations with major global partners across multiple industries. Its portfolio includes landmark developments such as The Bridge and The Peak, a partnership with Shangri-La Hotels, and one of Cambodia’s largest affordable housing initiatives. WorldBridge also supports high-standard healthcare services through projects such as the Singapore Medical Center Cambodia (SGMC).
Partnership Aims to Boost Healthcare Delivery and Crisis Response
The new partnership is positioned to enhance healthcare delivery, medical assistance, and crisis-response capabilities across Cambodia by blending International SOS’s global systems and crisis-tested infrastructure with the local insight and leadership of Rithy Sear and the WorldBridge Group.
International SOS’s global experience—including pandemic operations, emergency evacuations, and responses to major natural disasters—is expected to complement WorldBridge’s domestic network and operational capacity. The companies said this collaboration will support the development of more robust health and safety solutions for businesses, institutions, and the wider community.
The partnership arrives as Cambodia continues to attract regional investment and expand critical services in health, logistics, and infrastructure, providing an opportunity for both companies to scale solutions in line with rising demand for international-standard medical support and security services.
