Cambodia Investment Review
Smart Axiata is marking the 10th publication of its annual Sustainability Report with something special: a vibrant celebration of creativity, innovation, and community through the Earth Arts Festival 2025, in collaboration with ReMade in Cambodia.
Starting in the afternoon of October 24, 2025, through to October 25 at Koh Pich City Hall, this free and open-to-public festival is an invitation for everyone from families and students to artists and sustainability enthusiasts to come together and experience how sustainability can be fun, inspiring, and uniquely and proudly Cambodian.
The festival will feature a lively mix of interactive workshops, creative exhibitions, a sustainable fashion show, and insightful talks, all showcasing how art, innovation, and technology can shape a more sustainable future. Visitors can also explore the Sustainability Marketplace, where local eco-friendly brands and social enterprises will showcase handmade crafts, upcycled fashion, green products, and other sustainable creations — a great chance and meaningful opportunity to meet and support Cambodia’s growing community of conscious creators.
10th publication of Smart Axiata’s annual Sustainability Report
Beyond the celebrations, the Earth Arts Festival 2025 also marks a major milestone — the 10th publication of Smart Axiata’s annual Sustainability Report, themed “Making Sustainability Count.” Since first publishing in 2014, Smart has led the way in sustainability reporting in Cambodia, sharing its progress in digital inclusion, community empowerment, and climate action with transparency and accountability.
“Through this festival, we want to make sustainability part of everyday life, not just a topic in a report,” said Ritesh Kumar Singh, CEO of Smart Axiata. “By partnering with ReMade, we’re transforming environmental awareness, social inclusion, culture, and the unique creativity of Cambodia into something people can see, feel, and celebrate together.”
At the heart of the festival is the Sustainable Fashion Show by ReMade in Cambodia, presented in collaboration with local artists and designers, on the evening of Saturday, October 25. The show, featuring 21 young Cambodians and themed “Khmer Heritage Rewoven”, breathes new life into leftover fabric scraps from local tailors and represents the Cambodian queens throughout history, transforming them into striking upcycled creations that reimagine Cambodia’s rich cultural heritage for a modern, sustainable world. Audiences can expect bold designs, homegrown talent, and an inspiring performance that beautifully intertwines creativity and purpose.
“The Earth Arts Festival is about giving young people and the public a joyful space to experience sustainability through art, from literally putting a tree in their hands to connecting them with local organizations” said Alyssa Kardos Loera, CEO of ReMade in Cambodia. “What began as our annual fashion show to inspire people to rethink waste and promote Cambodian designers has now, in partnership with Smart Axiata, grown into this beautiful festival, making sustainability not only urgent, but inspiring and proudly Cambodian.”
So, mark your calendar, bring your friends, and join us for one and a half days of art, music, fashion, and inspiration.
