Cambodia Investment Review
Cambodia Investment Review (CIR) will serve as an official media partner for the 2025 AmCham Tax Forum, to be held on October 10 at the newly opened Tax Tower in Phnom Penh. The full-day event, running from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM, will bring together senior tax officials, industry experts, and business leaders to address pressing taxation issues for Cambodian companies.
Wide-ranging tax issues on the agenda
The forum will cover a comprehensive range of topics including capital gains tax, audits and appeals, transfer pricing, VAT on airlines and shipping, and the tax implications of share transactions. Other discussions will explore customs post-clearance audits, tax on directors’ pay, international tax agreements, Qualified Investment Project (QIP) obligations, cut-make-trim (CMT) arrangements, and the taxation of complimentary goods.
To ensure accessibility, the event will be conducted in English with Khmer and Chinese translation available. Tickets are priced at $45 for AmCham and TAFTAC members and $65 for non-members.
A platform for clarity and compliance
The 2025 Tax Forum takes place against the backdrop of heightened regulatory scrutiny and evolving tax requirements in Cambodia. Organizers note that the event aims to provide practical guidance and greater clarity for companies navigating the complexities of compliance.
“Tax compliance and clarity are among the most pressing concerns for Cambodian business owners,” said Harrison White, CEO of CIR Media. “By partnering on this event, we want to ensure that critical updates are not just discussed in closed rooms but shared widely with the business community.”
The AmCham Tax Forum will be held at Tax Tower, located along Asian Highway 11 in Phnom Penh, on October 10, 2025.
