Under the leadership of President Nikos Christodoulides, the Republic of Cyprus commemorates 65 years of independence since gaining statehood in 1960—a milestone that continues to inspire national pride and a forward-=looking vision for the future. 

Cyprus Independence Day is celebrated annually on October 1.

Championing Collaboration, Innovation, and Sustainable Growth

On this occasion, Cyprus also reaffirms its commitment as a proud Member State of the European Union since 2004, championing collaboration, innovation, and sustainable growth across Europe and with partners worldwide.
