Cambodia Investment Review
TUI BLUE Angkor Grace, a new five-star wellness resort located just minutes from the UNESCO-listed Angkor Wat temple complex, officially opened on July 30. The launch marks the brand’s second hotel in Cambodia, following its debut in Sihanoukville earlier this year, as the company expands its footprint in Southeast Asia’s growing tourism market.
The inauguration drew senior Cambodian government officials, global travel industry leaders, media representatives, and distinguished guests, reflecting the rising importance of Cambodia as a hub for sustainable and wellness-focused travel.

Focus on responsible travel and cultural preservation
TUI BLUE Hotels & Resorts CEO Artur Gerber said the company’s decision to open a second property in Cambodia is part of a long-term strategy to deliver high-quality hospitality experiences while maintaining a strong commitment to sustainability. He described the Siem Reap resort as a place designed for leisure, personal transformation, and cultural connection, adding that preserving the unique heritage of the destination was a priority for the project.
German Ambassador Stefan Messerer noted that the development meets international hospitality standards and contributes positively to the local community. He highlighted its proximity to Angkor Wat, modern design infused with Khmer culture, and sustainable operations as factors that will benefit both international guests and the local workforce.
Tourism Minister Huot Hak welcomed the investment as a milestone in Cambodia’s partnership with global travel operators. He said hotels like TUI BLUE Angkor Grace play a vital role in opening the country’s cultural heritage to the world while attracting further international investment and strengthening the skills of the local hospitality sector.

A new standard for wellness hospitality in Siem Reap
Elain Younn, owner of TUI BLUE Angkor Grace, said the vision behind the project was to showcase Cambodia’s natural energy and spiritual traditions to international travellers. She emphasised that the resort aims to deliver transformative experiences that go beyond luxury accommodation, combining healing, mindfulness, and cultural immersion.
The property features a world-class spa and hydrotherapy centre, yoga and meditation pavilions, medical wellness services, and a nutrient-focused restaurant, all set in landscaped tropical gardens near one of Southeast Asia’s most iconic landmarks.
Industry observers say the opening of TUI BLUE Angkor Grace is expected to strengthen Siem Reap’s positioning as a premium tourism destination. The project reflects renewed confidence in Cambodia’s tourism sector and demonstrates how private-sector developments can support sustainable, culturally rooted, and wellness-driven travel experiences.
