New Dubai-Bangkok–Siem Reap service expands Emirates’ footprint in Cambodia to 10 weekly flights

Emirates, the world’s largest international airline, celebrated yet another milestone in Cambodia as its first flight officially touched down in Siem Reap on Tuesday. The inaugural flight was met with a traditional water salute and a warm welcome by senior Cambodian dignitaries and government officials at Siem Reap Angkor International Airport (SAI).
A Boeing 777-300ER landed in Siem Reap to considerable fanfare. The welcome delegation included His Excellency Dr. MAO Havanall, Minister in Charge of the State Secretariat of Civil Aviation, along with other high-ranking Cambodian officials. Also in attendance was Excellency Mohammed Nossry Katoeu, Secretary of State of Ministry of Tourism; Excellency SO Sreymech, Secretary of State of Ministry of Commerce; Excellency NGOUV Sengkak, Deputy Governor of Siem Reap; Mr. Jaber AlShehhi, Head of Economic Affairs, Embassy of United Arab Emirates for the Kingdom of Thailand and the Kingdom of Cambodia; and Neak Oknha Sear Rithy, Chairman of WorldBridge International Group.
Leading the Emirates delegation were Nabil Sultan, Executive Vice President, Passenger Sales and Country Management; Orhan Abbas, Senior Vice President for Commercial Operations in the Far East; Abdulla Alkhallafi, Vice President, Cargo Commercial, Far East and Australasia; and Mohammed Al Qassim, Emirates’ Country Manager for Cambodia.
Dr. MAO Havanall, Minister in Charge of the State Secretariat of Civil Aviation, said: “With the UAE being an increasingly strategic market for Cambodia, the expansion of Emirates’ services supports both tourism and trade. This new route further deepens our bilateral ties and promotes mutual economic growth.”
Nabil Sultan, Emirates’ Executive Vice President, Passenger Sales and Country Management, commented: “A year ago we resumed operations to the Cambodian capital, Phnom Penh, and today we add yet another Cambodian gateway to our growing Southeast Asian network. These expansions reinforce Cambodia’s cultural richness and economic potential which make it a natural fit for our growth strategy for this region. We’re confident that this new route will further strengthen tourism flows and commercial ties between Cambodia and the rest of the world, particularly with the UAE, as part of the established Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) between both nations.

Our Dubai-Singapore-Phnom Penh service has been successful since we launched it last year, and there’s no better way to celebrate its first anniversary than to expand our operations by adding one more Cambodian gateway. New connections linking Cambodia to the world
Emirates’ new Siem Reap service is strategically timed to offer seamless connections for leisure travelers from the airline’s key European markets including France, the UK, Germany, Spain, Portugal, and Russia. It complements Emirates’ existing daily service to Phnom Penh via Singapore, further offering more choice and options for travellers in and out of Cambodia.
Operating three times weekly—on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, Emirates’ flight EK370 departs Dubai at 09:00, arriving in Bangkok at 18:25. The flight then departs Bangkok at 20:10, arriving in Siem Reap at 21:30. Emirates’ return flight EK371 departs from SAI to BKK at 23:50, arriving in Bangkok at 01:10. It then departs Bangkok at 03:40, landing in Dubai at 06:50. (All times are local.)
