Cambodia Investment Review
AmCham Cambodia has officially announced 16 candidates vying for six open seats on its Board of Governors in the upcoming March 2025 elections. The newly elected board members will serve a two-year term, playing a crucial role in shaping AmCham’s strategic direction, policy oversight, and engagement with Cambodia’s business community.
The Board of Governors is responsible for managing chamber policies, overseeing events and initiatives, and maintaining key stakeholder relationships. Board members are expected to participate actively in monthly meetings and chamber activities, with attendance requirements in place to ensure commitment.
The 16 Candidates for the AmCham Cambodia Board of Governors 2025
The list of applicants includes a diverse group of senior executives from key industries such as finance, law, hospitality, and manufacturing. The nominees are:

Election Process and Candidate Requirements
To be eligible for the Board of Governors, candidates must be senior leaders within an AmCham member company with at least one year of membership. They must have participated as a speaker, panelist, or officer at an AmCham event or attended at least two chamber events in the past year. Additionally, they must have been physically present in Cambodia for at least six months before the election and commit to maintaining a presence for at least nine months per year.
Elected board members are expected to dedicate six to eight hours per month to chamber activities, including attending meetings and events. Ethical and professional standards are a key consideration, ensuring no history of legal or reputational issues that could negatively impact AmCham’s reputation.
