Royal Group Funds Launches Investment Opportunities Through Fixed Income and Distressed Assets Funds

Cambodia Investment Review

Royal Group Funds (RGF), an affiliate of the prominent Royal Group of Companies in Cambodia, has officially launched its new investment offerings, targeting both seasoned and emerging investors in the capital markets. The launch introduces two private funds, the Fixed Income Fund and the Distressed Assets Fund, designed to capitalize on market opportunities and cater to the evolving needs of investors in Cambodia.

The Collective Investment Scheme (CIS), a regulated investment structure authorized by the Securities and Exchange Regulator of Cambodia (SERC), forms the backbone of these offerings. By pooling resources, CIS allows investors to access diversified portfolios managed by professionals while adhering to regulatory frameworks. The structure is supported by key stakeholders such as Fund Management Companies, Trustees, Fund Distributors, and Fund Administrators, each playing a pivotal role in ensuring operational efficiency and investor protection.

Funds For Different Investor Needs

The Fixed Income Fund is tailored for stability, focusing on investments in bonds and fixed deposits issued by licensed financial institutions within Cambodia. Designed for low-risk tolerance investors, this fund aims to deliver returns between 5% and 7%, with a minimum investment threshold of $5,000 and a lock-up period of six months. Approximately 75% of the fund’s assets are allocated to fixed deposits and government bonds, while 25% is reserved for cash or term deposits with licensed financial institutions.

The Distressed Assets Fund, by contrast, targets high returns by acquiring undervalued properties through Cambodia’s court auction system. This fund seeks to unlock value by clearing titles and reselling properties at market value. With a minimum investment of $10,000, a one-year lock-up period, and a potential return exceeding 20%, the fund is positioned to attract investors seeking higher risk-adjusted returns. An additional 20% success fee applies to returns above this threshold.

Operating Under Licenses Granted By SERC

RGF emphasizes transparency and professional management as its core principles. Operating under licenses granted by SERC, the company aims to foster trust among investors by adhering to industry best practices. The firm’s alignment with the Royal Group of Companies further enhances its credibility, given the conglomerate’s extensive track record in various sectors across Cambodia.

As Cambodia’s capital markets continue to develop, RGF positions itself as a key player in driving long-term growth and providing diverse investment options. By integrating innovation with regulatory compliance, the company is setting benchmarks for investment standards in the region.
