Wing Bank (Cambodia) Plc commemorates its 16th anniversary by organizing a blood donation initiative under the theme “Donate Blood, Spread Hope.”
In a heartfelt gesture towards the Cambodian community, Wing Bank employees united to address the critical shortage of blood in the nation by participating in a blood donation event held at the Wing Bank Tower.
Han Peng Kwang, CEO of Wing Bank, reflected on the significance of this charitable act, emphasizing that blood donations represent a simple yet profound way for individuals to support their community during times of urgent need.
“Each drop of blood signifies a ray of hope for life,” Han says.
The Pressing Need For Blood Donations
The National Blood Transfusion Center Cambodia (NBTC) has highlighted the pressing need for blood donations, revealing that hospitals require approximately one unit of blood every five minutes to save lives.

In Phnom Penh alone, the daily demand ranges from 300 to 350 blood bags, while nationally, there is an annual requirement of 140,000 blood bags, with the NBTC currently meeting only 75% of this vital need.
Sheanghai Lao, Chief Human Resources Officer at Wing, commended the altruism of the bank’s employees, saying, “Their selfless contributions exemplify Wing ‘s dedication to giving back to the community.”
Among the many participants in this impactful campaign was Monypheak Reth, an Activation and Event Specialist at Wing Bank, who shared her satisfaction in contributing to the cause, highlighting the positive impact of his small act on those in need. “I am pleased to support the community in my own way. If you wish to share your love, consider donating blood,” she said.
Han added, “Your generous donation holds immense significance for our community, especially for individuals in urgent need of life-saving blood transfusions.”

Throughout its 16-year tenure in Cambodia, Wing Bank has been dedicated to enhancing local communities through a range of corporate social responsibility initiatives.
