Cambodia Investment Review

Central Hospital and Exceed Worldwide Cambodia have announced the opening of the Exceed Central Prosthetics and Orthotics Clinic, a significant advancement in specialized healthcare services in Cambodia. This collaboration is set to enhance the quality of life for individuals with disabilities or functional impairments by providing access to state-of-the-art prosthetics and orthotics (P&O) services.

The clinic, located on the 2nd floor of Central Hospital, is equipped with the latest technology in P&O and staffed by four Cambodian experts with extensive experience in the field. This initiative aligns with Central Hospital’s mission to establish a world-class integrated healthcare delivery system in Cambodia. By partnering with Exceed Worldwide Cambodia, Central Hospital aims to offer comprehensive physical rehabilitation services, ensuring patients receive quality care.

Long-Term Commitment to Offering Comprehensive Healthcare

“Through this exceptional collaboration of Central Hospital and Exceed, the Prosthetics and Orthotics Clinic opens today, offering patients a comprehensive approach to mobility and rehabilitation,” said Sim Sovannara, Director of Central Hospital. “It is another milestone in our hospital’s chapter, and our team is striving relentlessly to offer the best healthcare for all Cambodians. The opening of the new clinic certainly signifies our long-term commitment to offering comprehensive healthcare and to emerging as a premier hospital in the Kingdom.”

Chanvicheat Kheng, the clinic manager, emphasized the importance of this development for the Cambodian market, stating, “Exceed has extensive experience in P&O and is ready to expand its prosthetic and orthotic treatment to Cambodian patients. This is the first model clinic located in a private hospital, and we plan to open several others in the future. This clinic will serve as a one-stop service center and aligns with Exceed’s vision. Cambodians do not have to travel to neighboring countries for treatment anymore. International standard P&O quality care is now available in the country, and we are proud of our achievement.”

The introduction of the Exceed Central Prosthetics and Orthotics Clinic is particularly significant for Cambodia, where access to advanced medical services has been limited. Many Cambodians have had to travel to neighboring countries for specialized treatments. The new clinic provides a local solution, reducing the need for costly and time-consuming travel while ensuring high-quality care.

He also noted the ongoing changes and reforms in Cambodia’s physical rehabilitation sector to bring it in line with modern international standards.
