The CamEd Business Law Club has announced an upcoming forum, “Investment Law Insights: Exploring Regulation and Taxation,” scheduled for May 19, 2024 at 1PM. The event, set to take place at CamEd Business School with options for live streaming, is organized in collaboration with AmCham Cambodia and Cambodia Investment Review will also act as media partner.

The half-day forum aims to educate approximately 150 participants, including students and professionals, on the regulatory and tax frameworks essential for investment in Cambodia. The discussions will cover investment structures, legal considerations, and the specific tax incentives associated with Qualified Investment Projects (QIPs).

Perspectives On The Practical Aspects Of Investment Law

Speakers include: Mr. Matthew Rendall, Managing Partner of Sok Siphana & Associates, and Mr. Sim Laysym, Partner at VDB Loi, who will provide insights into the legal framework and tax benefits in Cambodia. Additionally, Mr. Kaing Monika, Deputy Secretary General of the Garment Manufacturers Association in Cambodia (GMAC), will offer perspectives on the practical aspects of investment law.

The event will also feature a panel discussion and a Q&A session to foster deeper understanding and interaction among attendees. The forum concludes with closing remarks from Professor Hap Phalthy and a networking session.

Organized by the leadership of the CamEd Business Law Club, including co-president Ms. Bout Manyteppy and vice-president Mr. Poeng Theamheng, the forum is designed to enhance awareness and facilitate discussions on investment laws in Cambodia, supporting better investment decisions and economic growth.
