InterNations Phnom Penh, the local group for the global networking platform, hosted its highly anticipated July 2023 networking night at the enchanting Botanico Wine & Beer Garden on Friday July 7, 2023, drawing in a crowd of over 40 professionals to mix, win prizes and grow the Cambodian professional community.

Tom Starkey, the event organizer, expressed his gratitude to attendees and the growing involvement of local businesses in the InterNations events.

“We are really amazed by the increasing number of local businesses stepping forward to support our InterNations events. Their involvement not only gives added value to our attendees but also presents an opportunity to support the wider business community, especially during the current off-season in Cambodia,” Tom said.

“Also, we are incredibly grateful to every person who joined us at the new venue. We are getting a perfect mix of regular patrons and fresh faces while building a welcoming community,” he added.

The much-anticipated monthly raffle prizes

One of the highlights of the monthly events have become the much-anticipated raffle prizes, where participants eagerly await their chance to win exciting prizes.

The renowned Istanbul Restaurant delighted attendees by presenting every guest with a complimentary $20 voucher applicable to all menu items. BPM Studios, a prominent fitness center, generously provided a month’s free gym membership to one lucky winner, encouraging a healthy and active lifestyle.

Canopy Sands Development, contributed to the excitement by offering three complimentary night’s stay at the Bay of Lights, with a food and beverage voucher and bespoke notebook and pen. The Ministry of Cat and Tree Bar presented attendees with discount vouchers, with the bar introducing the brand new Bassac Square area of Phnom Penh, which doubled as the official after party of the event.

Christian Mitchell, co-owner of Tree Bar, said: “It’s great to get involved with networking events that are mutually beneficial for promoting local business where we all share the benefit. I have attended three events now and was excited to offer a discount to the familiar faces I met and newcomers to try out our new bar in the new Bassac Square area,” he said.
