Urban Living Solutions Co., Ltd. (ULS) and Tsutaya Books Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. (TBM) have entered into a comprehensive franchise agreement to introduce the Tsutaya Bookstore (TBS) brand to Cambodia. The partnership aims to open six Tsutaya Bookstore locations across Cambodia by 2034, offering a new cultural and retail experience for the Cambodian market.

Founded in 1983, Tsutaya Bookstore has developed a reputation for going beyond the traditional bookstore concept. From its inception, the brand sought to create more than just a retail space; it aimed to offer a lifestyle destination through curated media. The first store in Osaka set the standard with a unique selection of books, a cafe, and CD rental services, which laid the groundwork for the innovative approach that has come to define Tsutaya Bookstore.

Tsutaya Bookstore now operates over 800 outlets in Japan, China, Taiwan, and Malaysia. Tsutaya Books Malaysia is focused on expanding its presence across the Asia-Pacific region, bringing its distinctive brand of curated media and lifestyle experiences to new markets. Many Tsutaya locations feature cafes and lounge areas, allowing customers to relax, enjoy a cup of coffee, and browse their purchases in a cozy environment. Each location is designed with a unique concept and personality, ensuring a distinctive experience for visitors.
