InterNations Cambodia hosts a win-win networking event at Monsiuer Wine & Beyond

Global ex-pat platform InterNations, which runs a unique monthly ex-pat and local networking night in Phnom Penh, celebrated their most recent night last Friday with an exciting new venue, Monsieur Wine & Beyond (MWB), and new sponsors WeWatch.

IntertNations Ambassador and event organizer Tom Starkey said this event was special because aside from the usual social and networking opportunities, all attendees got a free one-month subscription to digital TV and entertainment service WeWatch just for attending.

“It’s always great hosting events that bring together old and new faces and help make new connections in Cambodia, but this year I have been working to bring extra value to these events for attendees to keep it fresh and exciting,” Tom said.

“Not only did the beautiful venue in Trellion Park and their amazing staff team help to set the scene, but by involving WeWatch we got to host gaming activities via their platform and they were kind enough to gift free 1 month subscriptions out to all attendees,” he added.

Active InterNations for Phnom Penh

Tom further explained that he will continue to bring in new sponsors and new venues to create added value for all involved.

“Having an active InterNations group is great for Phnom Penh and it means I get to host win-win events every month that offer something for everyone,” he added.

Analyst at IndoChina Research Limited (Cambodia) and winner of the gaming competition on the night, Sam Bukit, said the extra activities took the night to a new level.

The event brought together Cambodia’s working professionals.

“I always enjoy InterNations events for the chance to network and meet new people in Cambodia. I thought it was great to have some extra activities on the night too and winning the prize just put the cherry on top for me,” he said.

“I look forward to joining InterNations events in the future to keep expanding my network and maybe win some more prizes!” he added.

WeWatch provided sponsorship for the event

WeWatch Sales Director, Marcus, said the event was a perfect chance for the digital service to introduce ex-pats and locals in Cambodia to their product in an interactive way.

“As a company that offers premium digital TV and entertainment services, it made sense for WeWatch to support one of the most widespread and well-known ex-pat organizations as a sponsor,” Marcus said.

“Our product has a huge range of movie, gaming, and eLearning content, as well as over 40 international channels, all of which is translated into multiple languages. This product fit perfectly with the global and diverse mix of attendees at the InterNation’s event and it was great to show we offer something for everyone,” he added.

According to Marcus all those who want to find out more, can join the WeWatch4U group on Facebook and download the WeWatch app to get a free week of content.

“Our service is designed to be user-friendly, and we love introducing new people to reliable and legitimate content in Cambodia. Simply send us a DM with a screenshot, and we’ll share a complementary promo code with you!” he said.

Speaking on the next event, Tom said they have talked to a few potential sponsors and new venues, but those who are interested to get involved should reach out!
